Artist Alley and Artisans

At Shumicon Shoppu you can sell your art/products as an artisan in the vendors hall or as an artist in the artist alley.

The artist alley is located in Tiivistämö and artisan tables are in Circo’s atmospheric Maneesi hall, in the same space as Shoppu’s vendors hall. Artists and artisans are selected for the event through portfolio application. We will be charging a fee for all tables (artist alley €35, artisans €69) Check out the application instructions and rules below and apply to join Shumicon Shoppu!

Shumicon Shoppu’s artist alley and artisan applications open on Sunday 1.9 at 12 o’clock and close on Sunday 22.9 18:00

Artist Alley:

Artist alley table (120x80cm + 1-2 chairs)
Price: 35€ 

Shumicon Shoppu’s art alley tables are aimed specifically at hobbyists and non-professionals. If you have e.g. formed a company or a brand for yourself, we recommend that you will then primarily apply as an artisan seller. You can apply for the artist alley alone or with a partner. Collectives are also welcome. There are about 20-30 places in the artist alley.

Artisan tables:

Artisan table: (180 x 73cm + 1-2 chairs)
Price: 69€ 

You can apply to Shumicon Shoppu as an artisan, if you already have formed an business and/or your activity is otherwise already professional or you need a bigger sales table. You can apply to become an artisan alone or with a partner. Collectives are also welcome. There are 8 artisan tables at Shoppu.

Important information

  • The selected artists and artisans will be presented on the website, on Instagram and Tiktok. A short introductory text, logos/icons and 3-5 product images will be collected from selected applicants.

  • You can apply to the artist alley alone or with a partner. Applicants fill out the application form together.

  • Applicants are allowed to present requests relating to the location of their table in their application, if there’s a need such as wheelchair access or other mobility impairment or you wish to be located near a friend. We do our best to fulfill all wishes but we cannot guarantee all requests can be.

  • The Shumicon staff will go through the applications and decide on the artist and artisans during September-October.

  • You can cancel your artist alley or artisan table any time you wish, before the event. Please email the Shumicon Head of Artist Alley (taidekuja@shumicon.fi) as soon as possible if a need for cancellation occurs. They available slot will be give to the next person on the waiting-list. All applicants who wish, are permitted a place on the waiting list if they so inform us in the apllication.

  • Schedules, table billing and other information will be sent to the selected applicants via email closer tot the event.

  • The artist alley and artisan tables are open the whole event (11:00-18:00).
