Shumicon is held on Cultural Centre Stoa, Itäkeskus Library and Helsinki Adult Education Centre Itäkeskus’s premises at Turunlinnantie 1, 00900 Helsinki.

Shumicon is easy to reach both by public transport or with your own car. The closest public transport hub is the Itäkeskus metro station a few minutes walk away. Please look up your public transport route from Helsinki Region Travel’s site.

Stoa also provides a very thorough instructions on arriving to the venue.

Parking is available both inside Itis mall’s parking buildings as well as HSL parking close to the metro. Note that the parking area right behind Stoa is paid parking only!

Cloakrooms are available both for jackets and smaller items as well as larger items like suitcases and large cosplay props. Cloakroom use is 5€ for attendees without a ticket. The payment method is card or exact change only. The 5€ payment includes using both the jacket and large item cloakrooms. Please keep your cloakroom tags safe and secure. Do not leave anything valuable in either cloakroom.

The jacket cloakroom is located in Stoa’s hallway between the Main hall doors. The large item cloakroom is located on the corridor next to the Library.

When entering the Main Hall you must leave bigger bags and props in the large item cloakroom. You will be turned around at the Main Hall doors if you try to enter with something too big.

Shumicon’s dressing room is only available for attendees with Shumicon ticket. The dressing room can be found inside the Adult education centre on the second floor.

Keep the dressing room clean, and do not leave any of your belongings in the room. It is prohibited to photograph or videograph yourself or others in the dressing room.

Water station and first aid services are available for all attendees on the second floor of Stoa in Ratamo -room. sijaitsee Stoan aulan 2. kerroksen parvella, Ratamo-huoneessa. We warmly encourage everyone to have a water bottle with them that they can refill at the water station. There are some single use cups available at the water station.

Stoa is an accessible venue with an outdoor ramp, low doorsteps and an elevator to move between floors. An accessible toilet is available and can be opened by asking the Stoa janitors.

❗️Please note that some programme includes bright moving lights and loud noises which can be a risk to attendees with migraine or other sensitory needs. Bright lights and loud noises will be mentioned in the programme description when relevant.

Some areas of Shumicon are free to attend while other require a ticket for entering. Please refer to the below maps for more information.

All areas marked blue are free to attend areas and do not require a ticket to Shumicon.

All areas marked pink require a ticket for entering and some Main Hall programme also requires a seat ticket.
