This time on top of amazing things to shop, there will also be activities to do at Shoppu! You can make your own button pin at Shumicon’s button pin table, or admire the beautiful dragons from Kotae Expo!
Button pin workshop
Close to the cloakroom you will find Shumicon’s button pin workshop, where you can make your own unique button pin!
Button pins can be made from 12-14 (12pm to 2pm)
… or as long as the materials last! ♥︎
The material cost is 1 € / per button pin
The material cost covers using different drawing tools as well as the button pin pieces. The staff at the table will help you with putting your button pin together!
You can bring a printed or drawn picture, magazine clipping or draw the image at the spot. Just make sure that there is enough space around your image so it will cover the button whole.
Tips for button pins:
Your button pin can break during assembly! We cannot guarantee that all button pins come out fine. If your button pin breaks in the machine, you will get to make a new one.
At Shumicon’s button pin table, you can only make 58mm sized button pins. You will need to leave at least 15mm of space around the image. All text should also be placed near the center of the round image.
Normal printing or copy paper is perfectly fine to use! If the paper is too thick or too thin, it will most often break the pin during assembly in the machine. If you’ve used glue when making your image, make sure that the glue is completely dry.
You can bring your printed or drawn image with you, magazines you’d like to cut or draw your image on the spot.
There are some old anime-magazines available, different pens, glue, paper and scissors. However all of the Shumicon provided materials must stay at the workshop area!

Dragons on the horizon!

Kotae Expo from Tampere has brought their beloved dragons to Musiikkitalo for Shoppu guests to enjoy!
Watch out for the dragons!
Bright colors fill the streets as dragons soar the skies. Poi is a type of flow art commonly seen at the circus, and dragon pois are a variation of poi where instead of just a ball, there’s the head and tails of a dragon! Dragon pois move smooth and strong through the air, giving the illusion of being surrounded by dragons.
At Shumicon Shoppu you can watch experienced dragon trainers from Kotae Expo as they work with their colorful dragons. If you want to try taming a dragon yourself, check out Kotae Expo’s site and visit the event in November at Tampere. How long of a dragon could you tame?
